Vitamin D3 (120 soft gels)

Recent research has indicated that a large percentage of the population suffer from Vitamin D deficiency or insufficiency. This is a result of lack of adequate nutritional intake and exposure to sunlight compounded by the frequent use of sunscreens, which not only block harmful UV rays, but beneficial Vitamin D as well.

The principal function of Vitamin D is to promote calcium absorption in the gut and calcium transfer across cell membranes, thus contributing to strong bones and a calm, contented nervous system. It is also well recognized that Vitamin D aids in the absorption of magnesium, iron and zinc, as well as calcium. Adequate Vitamin D levels contribute to a healthy immune system, promoted muscle strength, and protection against oxidative stress and inflammation.

Cholecalciferol or Vitamin D3 is the most biologically active and preferred form of Vitamin D.
